by Richard Conan-Davies

Having too many vitamins early in childhood could be doing more harm than good. Although mothers may be well intentioned those excess vitamin supplements may be causing problems with the developing immune system of children.

Dr. Joshua Milner of the Children's National Medical Center in Washingtons who led the study looked at over 8,000 infant and concluded that those children that were fed formula had about a 30 percent increase chance of developing asthma.

The research appears in the July issue of Journal Pediatrics.
