Too much Vitamin E maybe bad for you

12 November 2004
by Richard Conan-Davies

Having too much vitamin E may be bad for your health according to a new meta-study (a study looking at a bunch of other studies) presented in the journal Annals of Internal Medicine.

The study, led by Edgar R. Miller of the The Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions , looked at other studies which totalled around 135 000 people and found that those people who had taken more than 400 IU (international units) per day for a year of vitamin E tended to die earlier.

Although one of the problems of the studies is that that the people in the examined studies tended to already have chronic diseases.
