Psychology
researchers analysing Speed Dating information has
shown that it takes less than about 3 minutes to
figure out if you would go out with your
prospective partner.
Robert Kurzban,
of the Department of Psychology at the University
of Pennsylvania, who led the study of 10,526
anonymous participants of HurryDate explained that
"Although they had three minutes, most participants
made their decision based on the information that
they probably got in the first three seconds," He
further explained that. "Somewhat
surprisingly, factors that you might think would be
really important to people, like religion,
education and income, played very little role in
their choices."
The study will be
presented in the journal Evolution and Human
Behavior.

Speed dating analyses may show we
make matching determinations much faster than we
realise.
