NiCd Battery - Nickel Cadmium

A type of rechargeable battery made with nickel and cadmium as the active components. These batteries typically have a nominal volatage of 1.2 V, slightly lower than typical 1.5V. But for most digital camera type applications this has no significance. These batteries are good for high current applications, like cordless drills, because of their low resistance.
