OS or O/S - Operating System

Operating System of a computer is special software that allows the coomputer to run itself such as its monitors , hard disk drives and other programs installed on it. Almost any computing device has a kind of operating system even mobile phones and PDAs.

Some common OS's are MacOS, Windows, DOS, UNIX or Linux.
