Yahoo! to go with Nokia

9 January 2006
by Richard Conan-Davies

Yahoo! has annouce a new service call Yahoo! Go Mobile. It's a service designed to let people take their favorite Internet content and services with them on their mobile devices.

In the United States the support will come from AT&T and Cingular Wireless and Nokia in multiple international markets in the coming months.

This will be the first time Yahoo! has brought a full set of the company's industry-leading products and full access to services across the Web into a single mobile application.

Yahoo! Go Mobile will connect the company's familiar services to the mobile device's built-in e-mail, messaging, address book and calendar applications.

Yahoo! will offer the ability to register for a new Yahoo! ID directly from a mobile device. People will then be able to access the service through the Yahoo! Go icon on their mobile device.
